FAQ's in MagicWhite

Are my teeth more easily stained after whitening?
For the first 48 hours, it is important NOT to eat foods which can stain your
teeth. After this initial period the chance of staining your teeth is not increased following whitening.

How long will it last?
Your whitened smile can last 2 years!

What about my teeth with fillings and crowns?
Although the teeth around the fillings will lighten, the fillings themselves and crowns will not whiten to the same extent. Some whitening of tooth-coloured restorations may occur but ceramic fillings and crowns will not change in colour. Any tooth-coloured restorations on your front teeth will need to be replaced after the whitening procedure.

What causes tooth discolouration?
There are many causes. These include ageing and lifestyle, the consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, tobacco and red wine. During tooth formation, consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discolouration.

What is MagicWhite?
MagicWhite is a bleaching process utilising cold blue light technologies and
hydrogen peroxide solutions that lightens discolouration of tooth enamel and dentine.

Who can benefit from tooth whitening?
Almost everyone. However, treatment may not be as effective for some clients; genetics plays a big role in the end result, it is impossible to whiten teeth beyond what is the genetic disposition of the client.
